50 YEARS AGO: The state Department of Finance certified the application of the Stanislaus Dehydration Plant, a $2.5-million facility, which would be developed in Patterson. The 20-acre site for the new plant was next to the city limits on North First Street, across from the Patterson Canning Company plant.
