Santa Clara County warrant issued in possible Modesto scam

The Santa Clara County district attorney's office is looking for a woman accused of scamming multiple people out of half a million dollars to invest in the construction of a medical office building in Modesto.

No such project ever existed, said district attorney investigator John Carrillo.

A warrant for 10 counts of grand theft has been issued for Amalek Elyassnia, a San Jose Jose real estate agent.

Anyone with information about Elyassnia's whearabouts is asked to call Carrillo at (408) 792-2977.
