A $350,000 project at the intersection of M Street and Yosemite Avenue will affect through traffic beginning Monday, according to a news release.

Crews will rebuild the roadbed in two phases, and work is scheduled to be complete Aug. 12.

North- and southbound traffic on M Street will be detoured. Vehicles traveling west- or eastbound on Yosemite Avenue will be allowed through the intersection, the release stated.

Residents on the affected streets will continue to have access to their homes, according to the release.

Electronic signs will alert drivers of the detours, and letters were sent to residents in the area.

Rolfe Construction of Atwater is the contractor on the project.
