Helicopter another testament to Stanislaus sheriff's bad judgment

July 2, 2013

Sheriff Adam Christianson violated policy using the Sheriff's Department helicopter to drop balls for a charity fund-raiser charity organized by one of his campaign donors and supporters.

The charity is a worthy cause but does not justify unauthorized use of the Sheriff's Department helicopter.

It appears Christianson has prior questionable use of the Sheriff's Department helicopter, patrol cars and officers for a catalog photo shoot for a local business.

Taxpayers are footing the bill for fuel and salaries for the use of the helicopter.

I am convinced of two things. One, Christianson cannot or does not have the ability to comprehend county policy. Two, Christianson's arrogance puts him in a category where policies do not apply to him.

More cuts can be made to the Sheriff's Department since they still have money to throw away.

There are two good candidates running for sheriff against Christianson.

You, sheriff, have cost the taxpayers too much, and it's time for you to move on.
