Wuzzz Up?: Scholarships abound

Central Valley Opportunity Center has awarded $27,000 in scholarships to students in its tri-county service area of Stanislaus, Merced and Madera counties. Eighteen scholarships of $1,500 each were awarded. The scholarship recipients were honored at CVOC's annual Spirit of Independence Scholarship Fund-raiser and Awards Banquet on May 22. They are:

Raquel Perez, Patterson High School

Claudia Narez, Davis High School

Selena Baca, Merced High School
