Take care of those vulnerable to heat

July 1, 2013

Please remember your four-legged friends before you go to work in the morning. This stretch of excessive heat will not only take its toll on us but your pets as well. Please make sure your pets are well-shaded, have plenty of fresh water and are comfortable so they don't get overheated.

If possible, bring them inside for some relief. It's also a good idea to check on your elderly friends to make sure they are cool and hydrated. Our children and the elderly are generally the most vulnerable when it comes to the heat.
