How did coach vote take a stand?

June 27, 2013

In response to Sidney Mitchell's June 25 letter praising her husband and Steve Walker for "standing up" to the other members on the Riverbank school board: I'd like to ask, how? These men voted "yes" on the other sports coaches. They also approved a budget that included a stipend for the assistant football coach. So how exactly did they take a stand?

Let's be clear. They singled out one coach, Kirk Peterson, and voted no on him in retaliation for Ron Peterson doing what is right regarding the limitation of benefits to school board members. Both Mr. Mitchell and Mr. Walker should be ashamed of their lack of ethics. I know I am.
