Woman pulled from Modesto house fire

June 22, 2013

Firefighters pulled a young woman from a burning home on Ottowa Court in north Modesto early Saturday morning.

The woman, in her 20s, was unresponsive with a very faint pulse, said Modesto Regional Fire Authority Battalion Chief Alan Ernst.

Emergency crews administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation and were able to restore a pulse, Ernst said. Details on her condition were not available Saturday.

Ernst said the call initially came in as smoke in the area of Standiford Avenue and Prescott Road shortly before 2 a.m.

The fire damaged two rooms in the home, causing an estimated $150,000 damage.
