On Sunday morning, a short Burlington Northern train stopped in Escalon. It was just one engine and a few empty flat cars, but it was stopped so as to completely block Highway 120 and McHenry Avenue.
After I waited for about 15 minutes, with many cars ahead of me, the train crew came walking back from the Burger King on the north side of the highway, with their drinks and sacks in hand.
If they had stopped the train just north of Highway 120. They could have kept the roads clear, but of course, they would have had to walk an extra 100 yards to the Burger King. It seemed rather malicious to me.
