Authorities identify Merced woman killed in accident near Patterson

June 17, 2013

— The 44-year-old Merced woman who was killed Wednesday in a three-vehicle accident near Patterson has been identified as Anna Manzo de Perez by the Stanislaus County coroner's office.

Manzo de Perez was a passenger in a 2000 Nissan Frontier pickup driven by Gabino Solorro, 25, of Merced. The Frontier, carrying five people to a nearby field for agricultural work, was headed north on Highway 33 near Zacharias Road when Solorro turned left, directly into the path of a Ford Econoline van.

The van, driven by Gabino Cisneros, 31, of Modesto, hit the truck, sending it backward into a big rig behind it.

The other occupants of the truck suffered injuries ranging from moderate to major. The driver of the big rig wasn't hurt.
