Sylvan Avenue is reduced to one lane from Millbrook Avenue to Claus Road for road improvements. Litt Road north of Sylvan to Plainview Road will be closed through July.

• Delays are anticipated on the Carpenter Road Bridge for a seismic retrofit project, with narrow lanes in place.

• Traffic will be restricted on McHenry Avenue from Claratina Avenue to Bangs Avenue for a Pacific Gas & Electric Co. project. Westbound Claratina east of McHenry will be closed intermittently. Nighttime work will be from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. through Friday.

Bangs Avenue from Dale Road to McHenry Avenue will be restricted for PG&E gas main work.

• Traffic controls will be in place for hilltop area strengthening and water system replacement. Affected roads include: Paradise and Carpenter roads, Ohio Avenue, Dunning Lane, Regal and Ridge roads, Hilltop Lane and Robertson Road.

Dale Road from Bangs Avenue to Standiford Avenue and Sisk Road at Rumble Road will be restricted to one lane starting Wednesday for PG&E gas main work. Completion is expected in late July.

• Work is in progress on a fiber-optic underground replacement project. Affected areas include: southbound College Avenue from Orangeburg Avenue to Needham Street and westbound Needham from McHenry Avenue to College; H Street from 18th to 11th streets and 11th from Needham to H; La Loma Avenue from James Street to Miller Avenue; and eastbound Orangeburg from College to Martin Road.

Emerald Avenue will be closed from Maze Boulevard to Sandburg Avenue from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday for storm drain work.

• Street improvements will start today in the area of El Vista Elementary School.
