Lions football game tonight

June 14, 2013

The Stanislaus District's top high school football players from the 2012 season will be featured in tonight's 40th Lions All-Star Football Game. Kickoff is at 7 o'clock at Modesto Junior College Stadium for the fourth-oldest summer prep classic in California. The teams have practiced all week — the South at Cal State Stanislaus and the North at Stagg High (the North stayed at Pacific).

Tonight also marks the second time the all-star game has been contested at MJC. The North leads the series 24-14-1 and has won eight of the last nine games. The only recent South joy happened in 2009 during its 19-3 win. Admission is $10. For more information on the Lions game, visit www.lionsallstarfootball.com.
