Info: The Woodland West Community Neighborhood will hold a Neighborhood Watch meeting featuring guest speaker Stanislaus County Sheriff Adam Christianson. The focus of the meeting will be the county pocket areas within Woodland West, but all neighbors are welcome and encouraged to attend.
CANCER SURVIVORSHIP CONFERENCE
Where: Sutter Health Education and Conference Center, McHenry Village
Info: Memorial Medical Center Cancer Services is presenting its first Cancer Survivorship Conference as a new way to celebrate survivorship in the community. The free event will feature keynote speakers and discussions on nutrition, clinical trials, complementary therapies and more. PERSONAL SAFETY WORKSHOP

Info: The DelWood Neighborhood Alliance is presenting a personal safety workshop. Participants will learn about personal and physical security measures. There will be a guest speaker from law enforcement. Bring a lawn chair, friend and dish to share for potluck. A $1 donation is suggested. All are welcome.
LEGO AT THE LIBRARY

Where: Ceres library, 2250 Magnolia St.
Info: Children will have the opportunity to make unique creations during LEGO at the Library. During this program, children can use the library's LEGO blocks to create their designs, which will be displayed in the library. This program is for ages 4 through 12 and provides an opportunity for children to learn how to solve problems and develop fine motor skills. SATURDAY MOVIE AT THE LIBRARY

Info: Families can enjoy watching the 2012 animated fantasy adventure film "Rise of the Guardians," based on William Joyce's "The Guardians of Childhood" book series. Set about 300 years after the books, the guardians, Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny and the Sandman enlist the help of Jack Frost to stop Pitch Black from casting darkness over the world. Info: The Valley Charter High School Skills USA team is having a fund-raising rummage-garage sale to benefit its trip to the Skills USA National Leadership and Skills Championships in Kansas City, Mo. The group is accepting donations to sell at the rummage sale, as well as encouraging people to attend the sale to purchase items, such as Christmas decorations, CDs, furniture and household items. Info: Lancaster Painting and the Delta Blood Bank are holding a community blood drive. Delta Blood Bank's mobile bus will be on hand to accept donations.
