Wildfire near Sonora slows

— Firefighters gained 95 percent containment by 6:30 p.m. Sunday on a wildfire southeast of Sonora that started just before 1 p.m. and reached about 150 acres, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection reported.

The cause of the blaze was not reported. It burned in the area of Limekiln and Murphy roads.

Cal Fire reported that crews had the "forward rate of spread stopped" as evening approached.
