MODESTO — The California Highway Patrol will be looking for drunken drivers at a sobriety checkpoint tonight at an undisclosed location in Stanislaus County.
Officers also will be looking for those driving without a valid license at the CHP checkpoint in an unincorporated area of the county.
Modesto police also will be looking for drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs tonight with roving saturation patrols throughout the city.
On Monday evening, Modesto police will conduct their own sobriety checkpoint at an undisclosed location in Modesto.
The Memorial Day weekend enforcement is funded by grants from the state Office of Traffic Safety.
