May 20, 2013

The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department on Monday identified a man who drowned over the weekend at Tulloch Lake.

Andrew William Duncan, 37, of Manteca, was swimming on the south shore of the lake Saturday when he disappeared around 6 p.m.

Family and friends called the sheriff's office to report they lost sight of him five to seven feet from shore and last saw him 30 minutes prior to the emergency call.

Searchers located his body eight feet underwater at about 9:30 p.m.

An autopsy will be performed.
