Modesto's Jon Olsen arrived Tuesday in Holland after a long plane ride from San Francisco.
He's still battling a sore right hip unwelcome news with the International Association of Ultrarunners 24-hour World Championships only days away. Olsen, 38, is one of five members on the U.S. men's team.
"The pain is still there and after an easy six-mile run; my right hip and glute were very tight," Olsen wrote via email. "It just leaves this ongoing doubt in my head, but I'm trying to keep the faith. I will meet up with team in Burgen Op Zoom, an hour train ride away. And the first person I will see is Doc Lovy and his students in hopes to get this muscle tightness remedied by race day."
