Volunteers worked on April 27 at the park, according to a press release, filling buckets and wheelbarrows, shoveling and raking.
"We are so fortunate the Rotary and Interact Club members came forward to assist with this important project to remake our children's playground surface a safer environment," club co-president Susanne Friedman said in the release.
The Murphys Community Club is an all-volunteer organization and has oversight of the park.
