WOMEN'S CONNECTION LUNCHEON

Info: Stonecroft Women's Connection "Ultimate Stress Free" luncheon features Judy Pallotta from Doctors Medical Center with the latest opportunities available for service. Guest speaker Gail Snodgrass will give a presentation on stress relief through massage therapy. Program and lunch are $15; walk-ins welcome. DINNER THEATER

LITERACY VOLUNTEERS

When: Wednesday, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Stanislaus Literacy Learning Center, 1032 11th St.

Info: The center is in need of volunteers to aid in the teaching of literacy skills to other adults. Volunteers must attend a tutoring orientation and training. For more information or to register to volunteer, call (209) 522-0656.

Turlock

JUSTICE FOR THE ARTS EVENT

When: Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m.

Where: Carnegie Arts Center, 250 N. Broadway

Info: The local legal community presents an evening of wine, cheese, art and music to support the Carnegie Arts Center. The annual Spring Juried Art Show will be open for viewing in the Ferrari Galley. The event will include a raffle of original work. Tickets are $20 per person; $250 for table sponsors, which includes 10 tickets and sponsor recognition. Tickets may be purchase at the art center or the law offices of Cash-Dudley Speiller & Torres, 518 13th St., Modesto. For more information, call (209) 632-5761.

Ripon

COMMUNITY MEETING

When: Wednesday, 7 p.m.

Where: Ripon Police Department, 259 N. Wilma Ave.

Info: The Ripon Police Department will hold a community meeting to discuss concerns or issues that may be occurring within neighborhoods. Sgt. Danny Sauer will lead the meeting. Officers will be providing information and safety tips, and officer Mike Perry and his K-9, Kilo, will be present for a demonstration. For more information call Sauer at (209) 599-0244.
