Modesto mayor has a session in Salida

OUR VIEW

May 6, 2013

— Modesto Mayor Garrad Marsh held his quarterly town hall outside in the city — at Gregori High School in Salida — so it's no wonder that the few people who showed up were more interested in talking about his proposal for Modesto to annex that unincorporated town.

While we think it's good for Marsh to have a calm conversation with some Salida residents, we hope that it wasn't to the exclusion of his actual constituents — the residents of the city of Modesto.

His next quarterly town hall meetings will be Aug. 10 and Nov. 2. Locations have not been determined.
