MODESTO — After a preview of summer last week, spring has returned to the Northern San Joaquin Valley.
Rain has been falling in some areas to the north of us - with snow in the much higher elevations - and the National Weather Service says theres a 30 percent chance well see some rainfall in Stanislaus County, as well.
The high temperature today is expected to be 75, a drop of nearly 20 degrees from late last week. A chance of thunderstorms continues tonight and into Tuesday morning. Temperatures at night will drop into the mid 50s.
Come Wednesday, the system will clear out, making for slightly higher temperatures that will continue to rise into the weekend. By Friday, well be back in the mid-80s, and the pool could be beckoning again by the weekend as high temperatures climb back close to 90.
