Stanislaus County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating 26-year-old Victor Valdovinos (pictured here), a person of interest in the shooting death of 19-year-old Jesus Gallardo in Patterson on Wednesday evening. Valdovinos is described as Latino male, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 220 pounds with black hair and brown eye. He is known to frequent the Patterson and Merced County area.

CHARGE: Murder

DESCRIPTION: 27 years old, 5 feet 11, 220 pounds, black hair, brown eyes

THE CASE: Valdovinos is wanted by the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department on suspicion of murder in connection with the shooting death of 19-year-old Jesus Gallardo, who was killed Jan. 4, 2012, in Felipe Garza Park in Patterson.

NOTES: Sheriff's officials said Valdovinos has several tattoos, including "Mi Querida Madre" on his neck, "Little Angel" on his forearm and "Nancy" on a finger of his left hand.
