ON CAMPUS: Thank yous for teachers and others

Posted by Nan Austin on April 29, 2013

— The beginning of May means the last month of school for most campuses.

This month includes time to celebrate teachers, school secretaries and others who dedicate their workdays to helping kids.

Lots of parent clubs step up to say thank you. Here are some ideas to do that with sincerity and class, without a lot if hard-raised funds. For example, have students bring a bouquet from home or hold an art night and have kids color and write thank yous.

Lots more ideas are at these sites:

StudyBlue's 2013 Thank a Teacher a Latte program will recognize teachers or school staff members with a digital thank-you card and entry into a lottery for $5 coffee cards at the end of May. Visit http://thankateacher.studyblue.com.
