MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS WALK

When: Saturday, 8 a.m.

Where: Downey Park, 1213 Coffee Road

Info: Lace up your walking shoes to help raise awareness and money for research for multiple sclerosis. Registration 8 a.m., walk begins at 9.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS

When: Saturday, 10 a.m.

Where: Ken Daniel/Special Olympics Sports Field,John F. Kennedy School, 1202 Stonum Road

Info: 40th annual Area Games Ceremonies with track and field events. Local dignitaries and special guests will join the athletes in the opening ceremonies. Admission is free. Volunteer sign-in is at 9 a.m. For more, call (209) 522-1544.

DRIP IRRIGATION SEMINAR

Where: Westurf Nursery, 1612 Claus Road

E-WASTE EVENT

Info: Denair Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization, is accepting electronic waste free of charge. Accepted items include TVs, monitors, laptops, CPUs, CD/DVD players, printers, fax machines, copiers and scanners. All proceeds benefit students of the Denair Unified School District.
