Focus on Education: Parents class in Turlock

The Turlock Unified special education department is offering a class for parents, "My Child Has a Disability, Now What?" It will be offered from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the district office, Room WW5, 1574 E. Canal Drive, Turlock. There is no charge, and child care will be provided. Reservations are requested. SPECIAL EDUCATION PANEL TO MEET: The Stanislaus County Superintendents Council that oversees special education outside the Modesto City Schools district will meet at 9 a.m. Friday in the Ceres Unified School District boardroom, 2503 Lawrence St. The panel will consider policy changes for special education and vote on a new system to allocate busing costs paid by districts for special education students.
