Fly Fishing Film Tour
The annual Fly Fishing Film Tour benefit for Rivers of Recovery will be Thursday at the State Theatre in Modesto.
The event, sponsored by the Stanislaus Fly Fishers and Rivers of Recovery, features fly-fishing films, as well as a raffle in support of the nonprofit organization that serves combat-disabled veterans through rehabilitative fly-fishing adventures.
Tickets are $20 general admission, or $10 for those with veterans ID. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, with the show beginning at 6:15 p.m. at the State, 1307 J St., Modesto.

Senior Spotlight to return
An annual showcase of regional performers, the Senior Spotlight Talent Show, returns next weekend to the State Theatre in downtown Modesto.
The show features adult performers and will again be produced by Grace Lieberman, a local actress and singer, former executive director of the Stanislaus Arts Council and a longtime advocate of the arts in Modesto.

Columbia Wine Tasting
The 37th Columbia Wine Tasting, an annual fund-raiser by the Columbia College Foundation, returns this weekend to Columbia State Historic Park.
The event pairs food and wine at the park, with more than 60 wineries participating. Hors d'oeuvres are prepared and served by Columbia College Culinary Arts students.
The event benefits Columbia College's culinary arts program.
