Modesto area administrators show off lip sync skills

— Modesto area school leaders faced off Saturday, pitting their performing abilities in the Talent Exhibition Principals Lip Sync, put on by Turlock’s Westside Ministries after El Concilio had to cancel for a second year for lack of funds.

Turlock High Principal Marie Peterson and Ripon High Principal Lance Morrow were among the contestants.

Turlock took first place, claiming a $2,000 prize; Tracy High came in second, getting $1,500; and Ripon took third place, winning $1,000.

About 300 students and administrators from several schools took part in the event at Modesto High School, formerly called the High School Principals Spanish Lip Sync contest, with Westside providing the same scholarship money as El Concilio had in the past.
