Get some exercise and do some good at the same time on Saturday morning in the 21st annual Modesto CROP Walk.
CROP Walk is an opportunity for people to fight hunger and and contribute to the self-help programs of Church World Service in 80 countries. Twenty-five percent of the money raised will go Modesto's Inter-Faith Ministries to help people in Stanislaus County with food and shelter.
The walk begins at 9:30 a.m. at Geneva Presbyterian Church on the corner of Fairmont and Coffee Road. It is not too late for you to sponsor a walker or to work those muscles and walk yourself. You can make a difference, locally and globally. You do not need to be a member of a religious organization to participate.
For information, call the Rev. David Warner at (209) 575-1241.
