Two injured in Turlock rollover accident

April 12, 2013

— Two men were injured when a speeding truck rolled over in Turlock early Friday.

According to Turlock Police Sgt. Victor Barcelos, officers patrolling in the area of Tuolumne Road and North Golden State Boulevard around midnight spotted a Chevrolet Silverado speeding southbound on Golden State.

“Before they could get to the car, the truck made a turn onto Fulkerth Road and then an abrupt turn onto Joett (Drive),” Barcelos said.

The driver lost control and the truck rolled over, landing on its roof and sliding before coming to a stop.

The two occupants suffered minor injuries but declined medical treatment. Both were released; Barcelos said the investigation is continuing and officers haven’t determined yet whether citations will be issued.
