Throughout the year, students participated in a variety of activities designed to enrich lives, help those in need and worked personally to develop a sense of compassion and empathy for others within themselves.
This year, Reagan students raised over $1,800 for the organization Pennies for Patients to help with cancer research.
Students also collected canned food for the Madera Rescue Mission and the Annual Christmas Basket Program, designed to help those in need during the holiday season.
Many students, parents, and staff members gave their time on a Saturday morning to organize and deliver the food collected to the Madera Rescue Mission. The students were able to see firsthand how their donations impacted those in need. Many left feeling thankful for what they had and empathetic toward those living without their basic needs being met.
Finally, during the holiday season over 150 students and their families were able to visit Avalon Convalescent Home to sing Christmas Carols to residents.
