On Thursday night, Madera County sheriff's detectives arrested two Chowchilla men who police accuse of firing weapons during a party shortly after midnight at a home in Fairmead.
Antonio Michael Ybarra, 23, and Jose Pulido-Perez, 20, are behind bars.
Their arrest follows a five-day investigation that led detectives to Chowchilla.
Deputies responded to complaints of loud music at a home located on Sinclair Drive, near Road 19½ and Avenue 22½.
The host was advised to turn it off, which he did, but turned it back up after deputies left. Deputies were called out again and while en route, shots rang out. When they arrived, one person was dead, and two others wounded.
The deceased, a 19-year-old male, has been identified as Eleazar Iruegas of Madera. The two others are recovering from their injuries.
Pulido-Perez and Ybara remain behind bars with bail set at $1,000,000.
