— Two vehicles apparently spun out and overturned Wednesday along the southbound lanes of Highway 99 near downtown Modesto, stalling traffic for about an hour as crews worked to remove the wreckage.

The crash occurred shortly after 6 p.m. south of the Tuolumne Boulevard offramp. Minor injuries were reported in the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol. It's unclear if those injured were hospitalized.

Southbound traffic at one point was backed up to Kansas Avenue. CHP officers cleared two lanes about 20 minutes after the crash, but one of the overturned vehicles was blocking the right lane.
