MODESTO — Advocates of a path toward citizenship for undocumented immigrants plan to make their case to two congressmen in Modesto this afternoon.
Rep. Jeff Denham, R-Turlock, will hold a "listening session" on topics including immigration reform. Joining him will be Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., chairman of the House Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security.
The event will be 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1200 Maze Blvd.
Denham and Gowdy will hold a similar event 8 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Place of Refuge, 486 Button Ave., Manteca.
