MENDED HEARTS SUPPORT GROUP

Info: Mended Hearts is a national nonprofit volunteer organization offering support and the gift of hope to heart patients, caregivers and their families. The support group helps people understand that there can be a rich life after a heart procedure. Members listen, share their experiences and discuss matters relating to lifestyle changes, depression, recovery and treatment. PAWS TO READ PROGRAM
When: Wednesday, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Where: Tuolumne County Library, 480 Greenley Road
Info: Tuolumne County Library presents Paws To Read. Children may sign up to read for 15 minutes to a therapy dog. There will be two dogs, Buster and Hana, with their handler, Marie Tiraschi, for the hourlong program. Buster and Hana are trained and certified with Therapy Dogs International. Children will meet the dogs in the Sonora Main Children's Room, where they can select a book to read to the dog of their choice. For more, call (209) 533-5507
