TURLOCK — Seventeen students received a total of $19,500 to put toward college at the Turlock Chamber of Commerce's 13th annual Ag Scholarship Luncheon.
The event, held at the Stanislaus County Fairground's Turf Club, recognized students from the Turlock area who aim for careers in agriculture.
"The success of the luncheon is a tribute to the outstanding support of area businesses and loyal sponsors that participate year after year and who believe that the future of agriculture lies in the hands of our youth," said Sharon Silva, the chamber's chief executive officer, in a news release.
