Visitors catch gold fever at Turlock expo

— Gold panning came to Turlock on Saturday as the Gold Prospectors Association of America began its Gold and Treasure Expo at the Stanislaus County Fairground.

The event features jewelry, demonstrations, lectures, prospecting and a raffle.

The expo continues today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the fairgrounds, 900 N. Broadway, Building E1. Admission is $5; kids 12 under are free with an adult.
