The Southern Poverty Law Center recently put out an annual report on domestic extremist groups, so I went to its website to check out what groups they were talking about.
What I found upset me because I saw my own group, Oathkeepers, thrown in under "hate and extremism."
Oathkeepers is neither of these things, and it is clear to anyone who can read and has a third-grade IQ that Oathkeepers is in no way a threat to anyone.
The organization is made up mainly of military, police, firefighters and veterans who teach what their oath means, and what to do if you receive an illegal order.
I'm confident that this newspaper and its readers will visit http://oathkeepers.org and find that the center has made a terrible mistake.
