Modesto's Gallo Center adds three new shows

MODESTO -- A comedian, a country singer and a classic rock star will make appearances in Modesto as the Gallo Center adds three more shows to its current season lineup: Dana Carvey, Dwight Yoakum and Pat Benatar.

Carvey, who performed to a packed and delighted crowd in 2009 at the Gallo Center, will return for another stand-up comedy show at 7:30 p.m. June 7. Carvey is best known for his comical characters from the late night TV sketch show "Saturday Night Live." Tickets are $29-$74 and are on sale now.

Yoakum will play May 25 at 8 p.m. at the Gallo Center. A country singer-songwriter and actor, Yoakum's honky-tonk music has garnered a number of hits, all while the singer has maintained more of an underground success. Tickets, on sale now, are $39-$89.

Benatar will play at 7:30 p.m. June 12 with her husband, Neil Giraldo. Known for a number of classic rock hits, including "Hit Me with Your Best Shot," "Treat Me Right," "Love is a Battlefield" and "Heartbreaker," She played Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys in 2010. Tickets are now on sale for $29-$79.
