The Center for Human Services has named Carl and Carole Boyett of Boyett Petroleum as the winners of this year's Children First Distinguished Leadership Award.
The center created the award in 2000 to honor community members who support services for Stanislaus County children and families at extraordinary levels.
"The Boyetts' innovative leadership, philanthropy and volunteerism exemplify the qualities this award was meant to honor," CHS officials wrote in a news release.
The Boyetts recently created the Make Dreams Real Foundation to fund opportunities for children to explore and extend their education.
The Center for Human Services will hold a reception and awards presentation for the Boyetts at the Gallo Center for the Arts. The event is April 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Reservations are required and cost is $150 per person.
