2 held in theft of computer

TURLOCK -- Turlock police arrested two men Thursday on suspicion of stealing a tablet computer from a man and then threatening him with a stick.

The victim saw the suspects take the computer from his work truck in the 2000 block of Julie Avenue just before noon.

He chased them until they grabbed sticks and pointed them at him in a threatening manner, police said.

Officers arrived shortly after that and arrested the men, Marlo Variste and David Price, both 19, on suspicion of robbery.
