Police want to question suspicious man

MODESTO -- On Monday and Wednesday, an 11-year-old girl walking near Freedom Park in Modesto on her way home from school reported she was followed by a man in a van.

She described the driver as a Latino in his 30s driving a primer black or gray panel van with several dents.

The suspect did not speak to or attempt contact with the student, but appeared to the victim to be driving slowly and following her. Investigators ask anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers at (209) 521-4636.
