Tickets are on sale for the Modesto Garden Club's Spring Garden Tour next month.
The "Private Garden Retreats" tour includes seven gardens, each offering a look at how it reflects the dreams and interests of the owners, organizers say. Tour attendees will get home interior views as they move from front to back yards.
The garden retreats will showcase seasonal color, a life-size doll house turned artist studio, views of Dry Creek, a shaded oasis and a house that seamlessly blends indoors and outdoors.
The landscapes enhance a variety of architectural styles, including midcentury modern, mock Tudor and contemporary, in the east Modesto neighborhoods of La Loma, Wycliffe and Eastridge. The Modesto Garden Club office and garden at 622 14th St. will be open.
DATE:The tour is April 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Gardens may be visited in any order; a map comes with tickets.
Tickets are $20 general and $10 for children under 10 (no strollers allowed.)
