The free egg hunt event is for children through 12 years of age.
In addition to the free egg hunt, other activities will be available for the children. There will be a Jelly Bean Count Guessing Contest conducted by the Greenhills Lions Club where you can purchase guesses of how many jelly beans are in a container. The Chowchilla 4-H Club will be offering colorful Easter face tattoos for a small fee. Eye2Eye Photo Studio will be set up to take photos with the Easter Bunny that can be purchased for a nominal cost. Other activities will be scheduled throughout the park as well.
A highlight of the morning is the presentation of the Soroptimist International of Chowchilla Easter Coloring Contest awards beginning at 10:30 a.m. Prizes and ribbons will be given to the talented young children that submitted their special coloring page entry.
The free Bunny Trail will be open near the park basketball court from 10 to 11 a.m. This egg hunt is for children ages three years and younger and for any age child or adult with special needs.
The event concludes with the EGG-citing egg hunts for children ages four to 12 years. Four age divisions will gather at their assigned locations and at the end of the countdown each group will head out looking to gather the brightly colored, candy-filled eggs. The age divisions will be for ages four and five; six and seven; eight and nine; and 10 and 12. In each age group egg hunt, children should be on the lookout for the special prize eggs that can be turned in for an extra prize.
