Modesto man convicted of armed robbery

MODESTO -- Modesto resident Isaac Anthony Bueno, 38, was convicted March 6 of armed robbery, the Stanislaus County district attorney's office announced Tuesday.

Bueno pleaded no contest to illegally possessing a gun the morning of the robbery and was found to have served a term in prison.

On April 13, Bueno robbed the Quik Stop market at 1500 Crows Landing Road in Modesto, threatening a clerk with a loaded revolver.

A Stanislaus County sheriff's deputy spotted Bueno running from the store minutes after the robbery.

Judge John Freeland has set a sentencing hearing for March 14. Bueno will be sentenced for a violation of felony probation in a separate case. He faces a maximum term of 16 years eight months in state prison for both cases.
