JACKSON -- Daffodil Hill, a private foothill ranch near Jackson that boasts thousands upon thousands of daffodils over four acres, opens the gates for its 73rd season Friday, weather permitting.
Visiting the ranch is free, but it is open to the public only until the blossoms disappear in April. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, but the hill closes when it rains or snows and the dirt paths become slippery.
Visitors may call the recorded phone message at (209) 296-7048 for updates on conditions.
