Focus on Education: Oakdale school board to meet

OAKDALE -- The Oakdale Joint Unified School District board will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at the Oakdale City Council chambers, 277 N. Second Ave. Trustees will begin by applauding several FFA awards. The board could vote on an architect's contract for the central kitchen project. It also will hear a presentation by Assemblywoman Kristin Olsen, R-Modesto, on efforts to end state delays in payments to schools.

RIPON SCHOOL BOARD TO MEET TODAY: The Ripon Unified School District board will meet at 7 p.m. today in the Ripon City Council chambers, 259 Wilma Ave. The board could vote on selling $17 million in Measure G facilities bonds and consider a job description for a teaching principal at its continuation high school, which is awaiting state approval.
