-- A man collecting donations for Goodwill Industries was robbed at gunpoint by a masked thief, who got away with the victim's wallet and car keys.

No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.

The robbery occurred about 3 p.m. Saturday at a Goodwill donation site in the 1500 block of Oakdale Road, just south of East Briggsmore Avenue.

Modesto police Lt. Scott Blom said the victim was inside the donation site's trailer when the robber came in and pushed a small handgun into his back. The robber demanded the wallet and car keys, then left with the stolen items.

Blom said the victim's vehicle was not taken. The robber was seen running toward the nearby Century Center.

Police described the robber as a man, 20 to 30 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds, wearing a black ski mask and a dark gray hooded sweat shirt.

Police ask anyone with information about this robbery to call Crime Stoppers at (209) 521-4636. Tipsters can e-mail through the Crime Stoppers website, www.stancrimetips.org, or text tips to CRIMES (274637) by typing "Tip704" plus a message. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and are eligible for a cash reward.
