-- Another monster game from Halie Bergman wasn't enough to keep the Turlock Christian girls basketball team from suffering a season-ending 61-47 loss to International Saturday night in the CIF Northern California regional playoffs.

Bergman scored 26 points to go along with 11 rebounds for the Eagles, who finished the season with a 25-6 record. Bergman, who was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line, also contributed six steals.

"She did all she could," Turlock Christian coach Edwin Santiago said of Bergman. "There wasn't much more we could ask of her. We just couldn't quite get over that hurdle of their size."

Kate Farrar added eight points for Turlock Christian.

International's Shayna Mehta led all scorers with 32 points, 26 coming in the first half. Danielle Palmer added 16, including 12 in the fourth quarter, for the Jaguars (30-4).
