Child molester gets 19-year term in Stanislaus County

A man who sexually molested three girls, ages 10 to 15, from 2007 to 2011 was convicted late last month, Stanislaus County District Attorney Birgit Fladager said Friday in a news release.

Juan Gutierrez Lopez, a k a Cesar Murillo-Guizar, 38, was convicted Feb. 24 of continuous sexual abuse of a child, lewd act upon a child and an attempted lewd act on a child.

Deputy District Attorney Beth O'Hara Owen prosecuted the case. Upon entry of a no-contest plea, Judge Linda McFadden sentenced Lopez to 19 years in state prison.
