The Modesto Planning Commission will hold three workshops to solicit public input regarding the General Plan Amendment project.

The General Plan establishes policy direction regarding Modesto's growth and development, and the city is working on an amendment project to update and modernize the plan, which last was updated comprehensively in 1995.

The project, which is not a comprehensive update, is focused on the land-use and transportation elements of the General Plan. The project proposes changes to the land-use and street network diagrams.

The schedule for the workshops is as follows:

• March 18, 6 p.m., Petersen Event Center, 720 12th St.

• April 15, 6 p.m., Davis High School little theater, 1200 W. Rumble Road. Park near the tennis courts at Davis Park.

• June 3, 6 p.m., King-Kennedy Memorial Center, 601 Martin Luther King Drive in Mellis Park.
